ABOUT
Built by people who've worked the bands, not just the boardroom.
ADL Agency was built on a simple premise: most technology is designed for ideal conditions, and most environments aren't ideal. Our background spans software engineering, industrial hardware, and radio communications — including formal ICASA registration as a radio equipment dealer and RF engineering across all bands. That combination is unusual, and it's deliberate: it means when we say a system will hold up in the field, it's because we've had to make one hold up ourselves.
Registered Dealer
Owner-Registered radio equipment dealer with ICASA (Independent Communications Authority of South Africa).
Licensed Operator
Senior hardware | software development | RF engineer, qualified in all modes of radio communications — practical, hands-on experience with the same physics we design systems around.
Field-First
Every service we offer exists because we needed it to work somewhere without a data centre, fibre line, or IT department down the hall.
MORE SYSTEMS ARCHITECTED
We architect AI systems ourselves — which is why we know where they go wrong in yours.
Our flagship work is WildGuard, our crime-intelligence platform for wildlife and biodiversity crime, and BushSense, our passive sensing and geospatial reporting capability that detects and classifies unauthorised activity. Third Rail AI's governance judgment is grounded in the same instinct: we architect systems ourselves, not just review them. It's also grounded in formal investigative and analytical discipline — open-source investigation (OSINT), technical and cyber investigation (CYBINT), and signals intelligence (SIGINT) — the same tradecraft that finds out what's actually running in a system, not just what the documentation claims.
Beyond those two, here's a smaller-scale sample of what else we've built independently — some deployed and in active use, some working prototypes without a paying customer yet, one still in early scoping. Each is marked with where it actually stands.
Architecture + working demo pipeline
GroundTruth
An independent trust layer that scores biodiversity-credit claims from satellite measurement instead of a project's own paperwork — explainable scoring with a full factor breakdown, and continuous re-verification instead of a one-time certificate.
Working system
Purgeon
A defensive security pipeline that ingests findings, triages and drafts fixes through narrowly-scoped Claude agents, and routes approval through deterministic, auditable rules rather than another model call — including a live integration with GitHub's Dependabot API.
Deployed, in active field use
TerraPulse
A location-tracking system built for iSihlangu Conservation Alliance, a conservation nonprofit — including a native Android app that solves the real problem of browsers suspending location updates once backgrounded, verified on a real device with the screen locked.
Working, deployed prototypes
TrolleyTracker / TrolleyTrackerBLE
The same geofencing and asset-tracking architecture, built twice against two different hardware models — simulated GPS and Bluetooth beacon hardware — with real-time breach detection and alerting, designed from the outset to extend from retail security into wildlife tracking.
Working demo
LeaveTrace
A leave and HR-ops system that calculates annual, sick, and family-responsibility leave balances directly from BCEA accrual rules, showing the derivation behind every number instead of a flat default. Built bespoke to fit how a business already runs its leave process — not a generic platform they have to adapt to.

Law-enforcement fleet tracking
Currently scoping a real-time vehicle-tracking and misuse-detection system for a law-enforcement fleet client — geofencing, closest-unit dispatch logic, and usage-pattern analytics, built as a bridge onto existing GPS infrastructure rather than a rip-and-replace.
